Bespoke Commissions come in all shapes and sizes this being a most unusual commission requested by a local buddhist centre.
The client, a local buddhist centre in Attleborough, Norfolk asked for three decorative plinths to be made. The plinths were to be used in a shrine display cabinet at the buddhist centre on which three of their buddhist statuettes would stand.
WORK CARRIED OUT:
The three identical boxes were produced to act as plinths as decorative items with a symbolic design and were produced to be strong enough to hold the statuettes that would be seated on top of them.
SPECIFIC TECHNIQUES EMPLOYED:
Specialist bur wood veneer in two distinct colours were used to create the marquetry that covers the surface of the boxes. This marquetry technique can be employed on bespoke furniture commissions so do get in touch with us at Sayerwood Norfolk Joinery specialists if you need some fine quality work undertaken.
